The latest member to be sworn into the U.S. Navy does not walk on twos but on fours. Sully the service dog belonged to belated President George H.W. Bush. After Bush’s death in 2018, the dog was sent to work with veterans at Walter Reed National Military Center. Now, the dog can add military member to his growing resume.
Three months after laying next to the casket of the former President, Sully was appointed to the rank of hospital corpsman, second class. Like all members of the Navy, the dog was given a military vest representing the medical center to wear.
